Description

BC7830 addresses the need for diverse wireless feature sets in an even smaller form factor than CSR’s industry-leading BC7820. With Bluetooth, GPS and FM Rx/Tx, BC7830 heralds a previously unprecedented level of integration. BC7830 measures a mere 11mm² making it the world’s smallest GPS combination device, with the nearest competing device being over 50% larger.

Benefits

Includes a multi-band GNSS radio and decimation chain optimised for use with a software GPS receiver. It is specifically architected to support multiple radio technologies.
It is capable of operating within challenging RF environments such as within a cellular phone using a clock in the range 19.2MHz to 52MHz. Also, it can be used in PNDs or PMPs. eGPS Fine Time and Fine Frequency Aiding are also supported using the high-precision signal timestamp mechanism via a PIO.
Includes AuriStream Bluetooth audio transfer which offers significant power reduction over the CVSD-based system when used at both ends of the link.
The device incorporates auto-calibration and BIST routines to simplify development, type approval and production test.
Can support receiving or transmitting FM radio broadcasts with simultaneous use of Bluetooth voice or data connections and GPS.
